ICP DAS Machine to Machine Communication

The COMPUTEX TAIPEI which was held from June 2nd through June 6th has been brought to a successful ending. Despite the global economic downturn, COMPUTEX TAIPEI, the largest ICT exhibition in Asia, has managed to hold on to its previous exhibition scale of 1712 exhibitors and 4498 exhibition booths.

ICP DAS launched various new products during this year and completed the full product line of PACs. For example, ViewPAC-25A1 is the first Programmable Automation Controller with 5.7” touch screen and built-in Android Linux based Operation System. This product also caught the visitors’ eyes during the five-day-show. The friendly and easy-to-learn developing environment of Android ViewPAC brings users fresh using experiences!

This year, ICP DAS also performed Live-Demos in COMPUTEX TAIPEI 2009. To present the hottest M2M topic, we provide a demo combined G-4500(mini-PAC) and EKAN-MD104 (LED display) in the exhibition. Customers can use their cell phones to send SMS messages. When G-4500 received the SMS signals, the messages would be shown on the LED display.

ICP DAS offers various Total Solutions for Fieldbus applications; our continued efforts were also demonstrated in this exhibition. Taking CANbus for example, cost-effective solutions for car industry are getting more and more important in Western Markets. Therefore, ICP DAS provides a series of CANbus products - I/O expansion modules along with WinPAC – that transmit CAN data from sensor node to PAC node.

Another hot product rocks in the exhibition is XP-8000 series products. XP- 8000 series PAC is Windows XP Embedded based PAC introduced by ICP DAS this year. XPAC supports all programs developed under Windows XP environment. In the live-demo, XPAC connected with ViewPAC to play videos. Users can move, swipe their fingers and then click on the touch screen to select and play videos from ViewPAC node.
